We had a wonderful time, despite the rain, on our trip. We learned about the Native Americans that lived in the area before the settlers arrived.
We saw beautiful animals native to the region in the 1700-1800 time frame. The museum is excellent with many exhibits covering many time periods.
We highly recommend a visit if you will be traveling through the area. It is located right off of Rt460/19 just outside of Tazewell. Tazewell is approx. 25-30 miles south of Bluefield, WV
The scenery is exquisite, and there 2 hotels nearby.
