Welcome to my webpage about two very special people, my great-grandmother, Melina Beauvais, and my grandmother, Dorothy Prestenback. Please take the time to read about the lives these wonderful women led, the terrible diseases that took them from us, and my memorials to each of them. This website is dedicated to the memory of my grandmother, Dorothy Marie Beauvais Prestenback, who left us on September 7, 1998. In using this website I would like to honor her memory and have her life go on in some small way. (Author's Note..please read)

On this website you will also find some information on the diseases that Melina and Dorothy had. This is for others who suffer from these same diseases and their families. In spreading awareness of these diseases maybe someday there can be a cure.

Both Melina and Dorothy led full lives and it is my hope that by recording these lives here online others can share in these stories and enjoy the memories.
