"Soldier's Request"

Though I may wander far, I have but one request, take me back home to Georgia to rest.

Tall, majestic oaks, shaking hands with lonely pines, form a lovely, backdrop for that land that I call mine. Where blue-green waters rise to make friends with the land, and red-clay hills reach down to kiss the shiftig sands.

Thouh I may wander far, I have but one request, take me back home to Georgia to rest.

Where watermelon fields spring forth with ease, and cotton fields die down to greet the falling leaves. Where peach trees dress up the streets of grand Atlanta, and honeysuckle vines trail along the Savannah.

Though I may wander far, I have but one request, take me back home to Georgia to rest.

Where magnolia blossoms send out their sweet song of Summer, and old timers on the courthouse square sing out to each newcomer. From her misty, Blue Ridge Mountains to her gentle friendly sea, Theres no place like Georgia to me.
