Charline Ware, b/mom of Julie Murphy Slaton (Denise Ware) born July 16, 1960 was found 1-22-99 in Pine Bluff, Ark. Julie and I spent 1-24-99 with Charline and her sister's family in Pine Bluff. It was a wonderful Day for everyone! It could not have been more perfect! God certainly has his own timing in these things!

Thanks so much for allowing Julie and I to register on your site!

REUNION!! - BM Janice Akers talked to Patrick Allen Noles for the first time 2/2/99. Patrick has had a very good life and a graduate of UTK, College of Architecture. Now things have come full circle for Janice. I sincerely wish you, Patrick and extended family the best in future. Donna.

FOUND!! - Darlene, Bmom, #KY0008, found birthson and has talked to him by phone. Darlene has this advice concerning KY searching: Registries and messageboards gave her the initial push she needed and information on adoptive related e-mail communities, which ultimately assisted in her finding son. An internet angel ran a credit check on the SS# that she had on bson, and came up with his name, address and phone number. She warns that her son's BC info had all been altered except for his first name and birthdate. Her name had also been altered, and bfather's name had been placed on the BC. Her son would not have found her going by the info that he had. Darlene advises that everyone who is searching sign up on all that is available on the internet as she has done, and she has also created a mailing list for Kentucky Searchers only. Go to http://www.onelist.com and put in KY-Adoptees in the search engine for submitting directions. Thanks for the lovely and informative letter Darlene, and many wonderful years of reunion to you and your son.

Congratulations to Larry/Becky/Robin Crank of their successful reunion with their daughter's birthfamily. Larry and Becky, in an exemplary display of parental love assisted in finding Robin's birthfamily. From day one of registering with the Arkansas Reunion Registry, Becky has been in constant contact with me and expressed a need to find Robin's family as there had been deaths in her afamily.

A note from Becky:
Reunion Day +1 4/19/99- Just to fill everyone in.... Barbara(bmom), Kim (her husband)and Stephen (bro)(he is a 12 yro charmer) spent the day with us yesterday. In addition there was Aunt Julie and 4 cousins ranging in ages from 2 to 16!. Everyone was so comfortable together that it was really unbelievable! We spent the day visiting, watching home videos, and looking at albums. Stephen and the cousins were definitely "taken" with Robin. They are planning to come again soon for 2 days this time and have invited us up there also. There couldn't have been a more perfect matching of two families!

I think from the home videos, Barbara was most touched wiht all the band concets we had been to and taped. I guess sitting through 3 years of JH Band concerts (2 or 3 per year) does take real love... just kidding. They were all fun and she seemed to enjoy catching up on 18yrs on tape. Now they have the rest of their lives to share. Life is wonderful.

I am looking forward to the time that all of you can have the same... I know you will! All of you share a part in helping us get to this time! I appreciate and love you all so much and know there is a blessing coming for you in the future for being the special people that all of you are!

With our love and thanks, Becky, Robin and Larry

IT'S A BOY!!! - 11/04/70 - TN00139
Faith Smith has wonderful news to share with everyone. She was able to speak with her mother-in-law and her husband, her 'step' father-in-law via phone 5/3/99. She describes them being everything she had dreamed they'd be. MIL is very much like Faith. She received Faith's letter todeay, and within the hour, called to speak with her son. She is eager to go to a family dinner tonight and share her wonderful news with the rest of her family, (Tim's Family). She immediately called her mother, and they both sat & cried.

Faith wishes to thank each & every person who may have had her and Tim's search at the top of their prayer list. MIL, Kay also had been praying that her son would find her. "God was with us all in this search & everything has turned out exactly as we were hoping. We all now have closure."

Hubby's official name is now John James Shultz. His middle name is after his grandfather. It turns out that John happens to also be the name of his step dad. "We discovered his birthname on 1/27/99. Everything has fallen into place since. We are going to meet them in a couple weeks. They are very excited about meeting the three of us, just as we are excited about meeting all of them. It sounds like my dear husband looks very much like his mom."

WAYTAGO Faith & Tim!!! Congratulations!!! We know that both of ya'll have been searching ardently for the past year. Oftentimes, those who stop to give direction and assistance as an angel, can make a miracle or two happen. If anyone needs help in searching in Ohio, I know that Faith and Tim will share their experiences and expertise in that area. Congrats again!!!

Love,
Donna
