Accounts in Arkansas 1850-1870 Counter

Archibald and Duncan McKellar were originally of Cumberland County, North Carolina. Their father whom I believe to be John McKellar of Scotland moved his family to Haywood County, Tennessee after 1820. John is found on the 1840 census in Haywood County. In 1850 Archibald and his brothers and sisters and mother, Effy, are found in Sevier County, Arkansas. They eventually settled near Paraclifta, Arkansas which is now a ghost town in Southwest Sevier County on the Cossatot River. It is located southwest of Lockesburg, Arkansas. The ledger accoounts which have been scanned from the originals are from general stores, druggists, etc. from that time period.
