     SOUDERS - Scott A., 81, Jenners, died April 2, 1967, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.
     Born Aug. 6, 1885, in McConnellsburg, son of George B. and Margaret (GORDON)
     SOUDERS. Survived by these children: Mrs. Catherine CRIDER, Friedens; Patrick,
     Ridgeley, W. Va.; Fred and Charles, both of McConnellsburg; Amos, Derry, and Mrs.
     Naomi SHIVES, Suitland, Md.; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell,
     McConnellsburg, and a sister, Mrs. Ora MELLOTT, Towson, Md.; these half-brothers and
     half-sisters - Bruce, Aitch, Pa.; Mrs. Blanche BISHOP, McConnellsburg; Carl, Ft. Loudon;
     Ralph, North Carolina; Robert, Mercersburg; Mrs. Gladys ENSMAKER, Clearfield, and Mrs.
     Lenora KRINER, Laymaster, Pa. Preceded in death by first wife, Annie Mary, 1919, and
     second wife, Mary Etta, 1965; also 2 daughters, Mary Louise SHIVES, 1962, and Mrs. Pearl
     SHOWMAN, 1966; sister, Bessie SOWERS. Member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church,
     Boswell; UMWA, Local 6456 of Gray. Retired blacksmith for Pittsburgh Consolidation Coal
     Co. Friends received at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, Boswell, where service will be
     held at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. George A. Clark. Interment, Union Cemetery,
     McConnellsburg.

SOUDERS, Anna M., 1872-1948

Mrs. Anna Morrison Souders, 76, of 2962 North 12th street, Philadelphia, died last night at 7:30 o'clock
from a heart condition. She was born in Mahanoy City and resided in Hazleton and Butler Valley prior to
making her residence with her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Turin, in Philadelphia. The deceased was a
member of the Christ Lutheran Church, the Lady Jermiah Rebekah Lodge No. 93, and Mayflower Chapter,
Order of the Eastern Star, No. 107, of this city. Her husband, Edward, preceded her in death 37 years ago.
Survivors include the following children: Mrs. Joseph Connell, Mrs. Catherine Turin, of Philadelphia;
Robert Morrison, of Palmyra, N.J. Eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Funeral
rites will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock from the Grebey Funeral Home. Rev. Allen H. Roth will officiate.
Interment will be made in St. John's cemetery at St. Johns.
