Making Things--

There's something about creating things that really appeals to me, whether it be websites, fanfiction or crafts. I'd like to share a few of the things I've had the opportunity to make:

Models: I made my first model when I was 9 years old. I was the only girl to enter a contest sponsored by the local dime store. I don't have much time to make models, but I do enjoy it. Kevin and I are slowly working on a Cutty Sark. Pics of that soon.

bad for her to continue sewing and I realized I'd have to learn to sew myself.

Needlework: I learned to crochet by making rag rugs with my father. I've also experimented with tatting, counted cross stitch, and knitting. I'm not terribly fond of regular embroidery or printed cross stitch.

Blue Willow still life Counted cross-stitch. Made for my father who collects blue willow dishes. Hanging in his dining room. Made in 1994
