Hi everyone,
I'm a homebrewer. Started brewing my own beer on January 1, 1998. Hangover and all! I received a brewing kit for Christmas after talking my wife into getting it for me...whew that took awhile. But it was worth it.
I've always loved GOOD beer. My Dad and I would always look for something different. Fortunately, there is a liquor store in Buffalo Grove that carries roughly 1000-2000 different beers. At last count I have sampled 92 different kinds and have the bottles to prove it.
Good beer costs money and I figured that the $5-$9 a six pack I was spending could be used to make my own beer in the styles that I like. So, this past Christmas I got my kit and proceeded to make my own beer and the rest is history.
After the first batch was finished, my brother-in-law, decided this wasn't so bad and now he's got the bug. The two of us became "partners" and brew together splitting the costs of the ingredients and equipment.
My goal is to someday open a brewpub and ... well we'll see what happens.
Check out the link area, lots of recipes and information.
Happy Brewing! Bob
