DISASTER PREPARATION



Hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, fire, tornados or even volcanos can and do happen at any time. Here is a list of some of the articles needed for your pet if and when a disaster is near:

• Be sure to have a cat carrier in case everyone must evacuate the home.
  
  
• Keep vaccinations and medical records current.
  
  
• Have supplies ready for your cat's needs: medicine, food, water - packed in case evacuation becomes necessary. Also include a medical kit, disposable litter pans, litter, scoop and sealable plastic bags to dispose of waste.
  
  
• Keep a first aid book available, just in case.
  
  
• Keep the locations of other veterinary hospitals and local shelters.
