What is the Tre(e)by One Name Society?

The 'Tre(e)by One Name Society' was formed in August 1998 by Jason Treeby. He decided to form a One Name Society due to the fact that there is little information about the surnames Treby and Treeby.

Having traced his family tree, and had become to many a dead end, he formed this society to share his information with other researchers, and for them to share their information and sources too.

The society used to produce quarterly newsletter, which will include news from Treeby & Treby's across the globe. However this has now been placed on the web and e-mail ring.

The society can place your descendant report our web sight,  which can then be viewed by other Tre(e)by researchers across the globe.

The society is hoping to have all of the UK censuses of Treby and Treeby’s. At present the society only holds the Devonshire 1851 and 1881 censuses, and would appreciate any contributions to this collection. The censuses will be available to all members upon request.

If you wish to contact the society you can do so by e-mailing us, or writing by snail-mail to;

Tre(e)by One Name Society, “Pebbles”, 8 Finham Brook, Ladygrove, Didcot, Oxfordshire, OX11 7YE, United Kingdom.

The society is run on a no profit bases, and all donations go toward the printing and distribution of newsletters, advertising and web authoring.
