Dear Brothers and  Sisters,

My name is Edina Balogh and I'm a member of Calvary Chapel's ministry team in
Debrecen, Hungary.  I was born on the 2nd of September, 1976 into a non-christian
family.  I gave my life to the Lord at the age of 15 and so far I'm the only believer in
my family.

Currently I'm a university student majoring in English and specializing in Literary
Translation.  I'm graduating in June, 2000 with an MA in British and American
Studies.

I have been attending Calvary Chapel for four years now and I've been part of the
ministry for about two years.  Until then I served with Campus Crusade for Christ as a student leader, focusing on campus-related activities.  In Calvary Chapel I'm a
translator.  I also help out in Sunday School and I'm part of the worship team as well
as the orphanage ministry.  I thoroughly enjoy serving the Lord through these
activities and I'm privileged to see the fruit of God's work in the lives of many.

It has been on my heart to be a full-time missionary for about four years.  The Lord
has been changing me and preparing me for the harvest.  Obviously, my abilities are
not sufficient by themselves and I am aware that it is exclusively by grace that I'm
able to do something good.  As my graduation date is very close I've been thinking
and praying about where the Lord wants to use me.  The ministries in Debrecen and
in Miskolc (the orphanage) are dear to my heart and it is very possible that God's
plan for my life is connected to them.  I would lobe to stay here and continue the
ministry.  There is plenty of work to do -- discipling the orphans, translating the
services and also Christian literature, reaching out to the city, to the high schools,
colleges, elderly people and to the refugees -- and the workers are still few.  Thank
you for interceding for the ministry in Hungary and as you pray for the missionaries
please remember me among them.
Thank You,

Sincerely in Christ,

Edina
