Dear Brothers and Sisters,
My name is Eta Moinar and I am a missionary in Calvary Chapel of Debrecen. I have been a Christian for 18 years. I was a teacher for 14 years in a primary school in Budapest. It wasn't always easy to be a Christian during the communist regime but the Lord was continually showing me His faithfulness in the midst of difficult situations. During that time I was dreaming about teaching the Bible for my strudents. Finally, the miracle happened. Political changes took place which was unbelievable for us Christians. From that time on we could go to church freely and we could talk about our faith and most of all I could teach the Bible for the kids. My dream came true.
Thus I had the privilege to teach a Bible Study for the children in the school which was a public school. Then after 14 years God put a strong desire in my heart for the mission field. He also used cicumsttances to show me that He wanted me to leave the school. After I left the school I was invited to Calvary Chapel of Debrecen, to be the church secretary. I prayed about it and I understood that the Lord was leading me to Debrecen. Currently I'm involved in the ministry in the Elderly People's Home. We are going there to visit the elderly, to comfort them with Word of God, and to pray for them. They appreciate our ministry very much. They always ask us to come whenever we can. I really like to go there but I need a strong prayer support because I am often attacked spiritually by the enemy.
I also teach the Bible in a primary school for little children, in three different classes. The kids like it very much, and they are open towards the Scriptures. I love the kids very much and I enjoy teaching them.
My job in the church is to teach Hungarian for the English speaking missionaries, to record and duplicate the teachings and other administrative jobs. I also like to translate short writings about the Christian life and to give them to others, for example to the elderly or to people in the church in order to help them grow in their faith. I also like to disciple the girls in the church, which is a blessing for me.
Thanks to the fervent prayer of the saints we can see the fruit of our ministry day by day. Your support plays an important role in our ministry because we are not fighting against flesh and blood. The enemy is very real. Please join me in my ministry through prayer.
Thank you very much,
Eta Moinar |
