welcome to piglet's fan fair '98 page!

piglet recently returned to her old home of nashville, tennessee, while her mama participated in fan fair events. her account of the trip follows:

when mama told me we were going back to nashville, i wasn't very happy. i never liked that place. i prefer dallas. but i was very excited to see some of my old friends, like nancy, tuffy, rac, craig, and chris. also, i wanted to finally meet brandon, who mom talked so much about.

we took off from iowa on saturday morning. right away i knew it wasn't going to be a good trip--i got car sick (again)! about 3 hours into the trip, i was feeling a little better--though not much! we got to nashville that night, and mom was on the phone right away, calling all of her friends. i was pretty excited--mostly just because my little world had finally stopped shaking!!

my friend anita came that night, too. i got to spend the entire week with her. it was very humid in the room, so my little house didn't smell the best, and it was all icky and damp. i had to eat all my food right away, or it would get soggy. but i don't mind eating fast--my name is piglet after all!

mama took off on sunday to go to some silly little game. she wouldn't take me, because she said it might rain. my friends tara and kiwi did stop in to say hi to me, though :)

i don't know why she wouldn't take me--there were dogs there. mom said the dog was talented--but i'm sure he's not as talented as me!

not only did he play in the game, but he played with animals and children, too!

that night, mama didn't come back and didn't come back. i was scared because there was a big storm. anita came home, and we worried together. finally, mama did come home. she and tara had just gone to visit some people called the joyners, and got stuck in the storm.

monday was my first big day. mama took me up to hendersonville, and we went to sam's club. then she *finally* took me out to prime time country, to see nancy and rac. i got to see a lot of other friends out there--that i met when mama worked there. i also made some new friends. they are all very nice. it was even suggested that i be on tv! imagine that--me, a star!! :) :) :)

tuesday morning, mama let me have a treat--cinnamon life cereal! another treat was that the martins came to stay with us! it was very nice to see them again. i got very mad a mama, though. she saw my friend tony that day, and that night she went to see all of my friends (bryan white, et al), and she didn't even take me! tammy was there, too--and i haven't seen her in 6 months! but mama did get derek to autograph the picture of him and me. he's so nice!

mama was very busy on wednesday, but she did come home to get me before she went back out to prime time country. i almost wish she wouldn't have, because we were in a car accident on the way, and it scared me. i don't like car accidents. nancy babysat me while mama was in the studio. rac and virginia came out to talk to me. i also got to see my friend karissa, and meet her mother and a bunch of other new people. we talked to nancy some more. i like her, so i bit her. you know, i only do that to people i'm comfortable with. it was decided that i would get to me gary chapman the next day, and have my picture taken with him. cool!

mama got caught up being followed around by ricochet and hanging out with steve wariner on thursday, so i never got to go back out to prime time country. i guess stardom will have to wait--for now!!!

we were supposed to go back home on friday, but mom decided we would stay an extra day so she could see some of her friends. mama spent half the day with tammy, but she never came to visit me. i did finally got to meet brandon late that night. he came by just to see me!! he was very nice. i hope to see him again.

we drove home on saturday, and i didn't even get sick--go me!!

mom left for nebraska on tuesday. she said i couldn't go, because she was flying in a little plane, and the pressure might not be good for me. i appreciate that she looks out for me, but i sure do miss her when she's gone. she went to see our friends andrea and rachel. she also talked to my friends bryan, alton, lee, derek, and chris. they asked about me. they like me, they really like me!! i sure do wish i could have gone to that one, but it's good to have mama home again!

that's all for now. it probably wasn't too exciting for you, but it's all pretty cool to a hedgehog! sorry there are so few pictures, but mama didn't take any of me (those are the cutest ones!). when she gets off her lazy rear-end and has some of her concert pictures developed, i'll add them to the page. until then, please check out my fan fair photo pages, or go back to my main page and sign the guestbook. thanks!!
