A beautiful poem written by my wonderful friend, Gavin Ree--not to make me sad, but "to show that something like this is only a new beginning for her".

So full of life and energy,
her spirit from within.
A sense of joy and love for life
was sealed within her grin.

A brilliance shining like the sun,
A lil mischievous heart.
A laugh to melt all frozen souls,
and hugs her favorite part.

Photography a passion dear,
to capture works of art.
The pictures painted by the sun,
were only just a start.

She challenged life's restricting ways,
and searched uncharted routes.
To reach the peak of mortal life,
...that's what it's all about.

A mis-adventure took her life,
but not as it would seem.
To soar among the heavens,
was her final waking dream.

It wasn't time for life to end
nor was it time to die.
'Twas simply time to reach new heights,
her time to touch the sky.

The body wasn't meant to soar,
it isn't built for flight.
Her spirit chained on earth until
conditions were just right.

A gentle rush of heaven's wind,
set lift unto her wings.
Her body fell, but just the shell,
returned to earthly things.

Her spirit now upon the wind,
she stretched her wings to soar.
With God her guide and by her side
He showed her heaven's door.

Her arms now filled with Angel Hugs,
her presence in their clutch.
She passes them right back to us,
on every breeze we touch.

No one could even fathom,
how her picture album's grown.
One Living color 8x10,
is 10 miles high alone.

Let sadness rest, let tears now dry
there's no more time for sorrow,
her day will stretch towards earth's sunset
she'll see us all tomorrow!

Right now, she's happy, busy too
in testing out those wings
exploring heavens endless joy,
and all the love it brings.

No more of life's restricting ways,
No more uncharted routes.
She's reached the peak.. eternal life,
that's what it's all about :-)
