Crawford Family

The Crawford Family were from Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland. They are my moms side of the family. She was a Crawford, My Mom lived in the same house in Kilwinning that had been in the family for hundreds of years. In the house there was an old desk that had a treasure of old papers. Birth certificates, death certificates, legal papers and wills.

The farthest back I can go is to a Robert Crawford who married a Jean Baillie. They had six children.

Robert married Elizabeth Stevenston Jan 17,1774. Elizabeth was born 1747 she died in Kilwinning Dec.28,1818. She is buried in the old Kilwinning Abbey Robert and Elizabeth had 3 children

Jean married Robert Young Nov.14,1804. In Robert Crawfords will he asked that his eldest grandson take the name of Crawford. Robert Young and Jean Crawford had 7 children.
