Cemeteries in Collin County

Between 1900 and 1910, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows started cemeteries in Allen, Blue Ridge, Farmersville, Nevada, and Princeton. Some of the cemeteries are run by other agencies today. The Farmersville Cemetery is still run by the IOOF. 

Collin County is the final resting place of soldiers who fought in historical battles. John Abston fought in the Revolutionary War and he is buried in Abston Cemetery. Charles C. Stibbens, who fought for Texas independence from Mexico at the Battle of San Jacinto on 21 April 1836, is buried at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Historical markers honor both of these gentlemen.
