Here is a poem I wrote for the invitation to her citizenship party.
Just a little celebration,
for my little China doll.
Who has traveled from the land
of Panda Bears and the Great Wall.
I am proud of her great heritage,
and will keep it all the way.
But now she's proud to be
a citizen of the USA.
She passed the test with flying colors,
didn't waiver, didn't wince.
When reciting the declaration,
of her own independence.
Every President she named,
every State and Capital.
We can't help it if the lady
didn't speak her "baby drawl".
