The doctor's took me away right when I was born
Let me explain why.
When a baby is born as premature as I was
their lungs aren't developed yet
so I couldn't breath on my own.
The doctors then took me in a different room to
do a procedure they call intubate
which means they put a tube down my thoat
and hooked me up to a oscillator
The oscillator did all the breathing for me.
I would end up staying on the oscillator for six weeks.
Then they started doing alot of tests on me
one of the tests was a head scan
The scan turn up some very bad news
during delivery I had a grade 4 brain bleed
The severity of a brain bleed is graded from a
grade 1 which is the mildest
to a grade 4 which is the worst.
The prognosis wasn't to good
Dr. Reece, the neonatologist,gave my parents
some bad news
He said that I probibly wouldn't make it through the day.
And even if I did there was a good chance
I would have severe mental and physical problems.
