In this picture the doc's have take me off the oscillator and put me on the ventillator. The difference between the oscillator and the ventillator is that the oscillator forces alot of short breaths into my lungs in order to keep them inflated because my lungs were so under developed they would calpse easly. The ventillator lets me breath on my own but it stays ready to give me a breath if I happen to need some help. Once the doctors finally realized that I was going to make it they started talking about all the other things that could happen to me. One of the troubles the doctors said I would face was that since I had suffered from two brain bleeds that the bleeds would cause my brain to swell. In turn the swelling would cause the drainage tubes that allow the fluid that your brain puts off to be squeezed off. Which would cause brain damage if they didn't do something about it. But as it turned out the man upstairs pulled some more strings. The brain bleeds resolved on their own and the swelling went away before it got to bad. This just goes to prove That sometimes you just have to have faith |
