Beaded
Green Angel
This was made for our girls
that are bridging to Juniors, but it would also be nice as a "Green Angel"
award for a volunteer.
Supplies needed:
12-#1 gold safety pins
1-12 mm wood bead
13- 8 mm faceted crystal beads
48- green rondels
48 crystal rondels
1-12 mm gold bell cap
wire cutters
floral wire
Thread 4 green beads on each safety
pin, and clasp each pin shut.
Thread the safety pins (clasp
end) and 12-8 mm crystal beads onto a piece of wire. Pull wire tight to
form a loop, twist and fasten off.
Thread the wire through the loop
end of the pins. Pull wire tight, twist and fasten off.
Cut an 19" piece of wire. Thread
12 crystal beads onto the center. Pull wire tight to form a loop for the
halo, twist ends-DO NOT CUT OFF
Thread both ends of wire through
the gold cap and the wood bead. DO NOT CUT OFF
Cut 2-18" pieces of wire. Thread
through the remaining 8 mm bead. Thread 12 crystal beads on each end of
one wire. Form a loop to make the wings, twist ends and cut off. Thread
6 crystal beads on remaining wires. Fasten off ends to form arms.
Place the head assembly on top
of the body assembly. Wrap the ends of the wires from the head assembly
around the body assembly, placing wire between the arms and the wings.
Twist the wire underneath the body assembly. Next, thread the wire through
two pins on the skirt assembly, twist wires underneath and fasten off.
Bend halo down over head. You
can draw a face if you want. You could add a hanger or leave it to stand
by itself
