The Bates Family

A little bit about us:
First, Cindy....I am the head of this fine family, and some have called me the "Queen of Tire Sales". When I am not playing with my kids, COOKING (my greatest joy in life, AFTER THE KIDS, that is), reading, rollerblading or walking in the rain, I spend an awful lot of time at Triple C Tire and Brake, in the beautiful little town of Brentwood, where I manage the place. Not only do I work there my normal hours, I spend a lot of time there on my days off, just ask the boys....they spend lots of time there too. Luckily my boss likes my kids...hehe

Next, Aaron....He is 11 years old, and in the 6th grade at Knightsen Elementary School. He is in the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education)Program, and is on the Honor Roll. When he isn't studying, he spends most of his time playing every sport known to GOD. His favorites are: Soccer, Baseball, BasketBall, Football, and Rollerblading. When he isn't playing sports he may be found playing NINTENDO 64(tm), watching WCW Wrestling or spending time with our Dog, Rocky.

Finally, Kyle....He is 5 years old, and in Pre-School at A CHILD'S PLACE in Oakley. He starts Kindergarten in the fall, and are we HAPPY. He is so bright and asks soooooo many questions, we can't wait till it's a Teacher's turn to answer some of them....hehe. When he isn't asking questions, and even sometimes when he is, he enjoys Bike Riding, Rollerblading, playing in the park, planting flowers, baseball, soccer and playing with our Cat, Pebbles.

****UPDATE**** (11/7/98)

The boys have gone to live with their dad, and they come stay with me on the weekends. We love spending weekends together, but the house doesn't seem quite the same after they've gone. (Lately, I think **peace and quiet** is overrated. Ü)


Aaron is now 12 years old and in Junior High. He is getting good grades, and enjoying the change of scenery, going from a small rural school to a real Junior High.


Kyle is now 5 years old and in Kindergarden. He really enjoys school, and is soaking up knowledge like a little sponge. He is learning things that his brother didn't learn until 4th and 5th grade.


I am very proud of both my boys, and will be posting new pics of them soon. School pictures just came back, and they both look so handsome.

Rocky is no longer with us. He has gone to a family who can spend the time and give him the attention that he really needs, which is best for him. But.....
I now have a new pet. Not your ordinary, run of the mill housepet, but he suits me pretty well. He is a 5 1/2' long Rat Snake named Sneakers. He and Pebbles don't get along very well, but they seem to have an unspoken agreement that they'll stay at opposite ends of the room. I will post some pics of Sneakers soon also. LOL...he'll probably be hanging around my neck as i scan them..Ü
