My family moved to White Sands in 1973, then into Las Cruces where I graduated in 1978. I attended NMSU and worked in Las Cruces for TRW at the NASA facility until joining Hewlett Packard in 1988. I am a Senior Engineer/Scientist working in Research and Development at HP in Boise, Idaho, where we make the infamous HP LaserJet Printers. My husband, Martin, also works at HP, and is an R&D project manager. We have a beautiful 3 year old daughter, Katie.
My memories of White Sands are many and varied. I speak periodically with Ernie Gomez and we always laugh about the silly things we remember from those White Sands years. It was so strange, and fun, to see everyone again at the 20 year high school reunion this past summer. One of the more interesting things was seeing what everyone is doing after all this time...so long ago but 20 years, hard to believe.
Like everyone, I have great memories of the White Sands teachers and the silliness of being young. And I have lots of pictures...I'll have to scan them and send them to Greg for posting!
