Matching Eggs
Supplies needed:   5-10 different felt eggs (for teacher), several matching sets of eggs (for children), 2 Easter baskets (one for teacher and one for students), flannelboard
Procedure:  Put one egg from basket on flannelboard.  Children search their baskets for a matching egg.  If they have one, they come up to the flannelboard and put it near the first egg.  Continue until all of the eggs are matched.

Five Little Easter Eggs
Five little Easter eggs, lovely colors wore;      (suit actions to words)
Mother ate the blue one, then there were four.
Four little Easter eggs, two and two, you see;
Daddy ate the red one, then there were three.
Three little Easter eggs;  before I knew,
Sister ate the yellow one, then there were two.
Two little Easter eggs;  oh, what fun!
Brother ate the purple one, then there was one.
One little Easter egg;  see me run!
I ate the very last one, and then there were none.

Tissue Paper Sparkle Eggs

Take plastic eggs  and cover it with overlapping tissue paper squares (about 1").  Do it by making a mixture of glue and water, and using a paintbrush to paint on the glue.  (Use the junky paintbrushes that come with cheap watercolor paints).  Brush on gently so that the tissue paper doesn't rip.  Keep layering until the plastic is completely covered. The egg will be a little wet.  Sprinkle on that really fine opalescent glitter.  Let dry.  They will harden as they dry, and they are absolutely gorgeous.   Use different colored squares overlapping.
