Information from Corinne Wise, of Lake Havasu City, AZ states that John was a Lieutenant during the Revolutionary War.
On 25 December 1787, John Burgess sold land at Voluntown, CT, to his son Benajah Burgess. A copy of that land record is in the posession of Robert J. Heck, Greendale, WI.
