All I ask is that you credit the Author.      Let me know your thoughts about my pages. E-Mail me your poems and I'll add them to my pages. I promise not to change a thing.

This weeks thought for living

Man and Woman

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness;...                                          Gen. 1:26 (RSV)

then the Lord God formed man out of the dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostils the breath of life; and man became living being.                       Gen. 2:7 (RSV)

Then the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make for him a helper fit for him."                                                  Gen. 2:18 (RSV)

So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept, took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh; and the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man he made into womanand brought her to the man. "This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of man." Therefore a man leaves his fater and mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.                                                  Gen.2:21-24 (RSV)

I chose these verses because it's summer and it's wedding season.  People always go into marriage with great expectations and after about six months reality hits.  The best way to get through the reality check is by remembering the above verses.  God created both and so owns both people.  God made woman out of man's side.  Not out of his head to be over him, not out of his heal for him to walk on her, but out of his side to stand beside him.  And finally, they become one flesh.  We all started as one flesh and it is God's plan for us to be one flesh.

God Bless You All!!!
