There is a saying here in the south... "Treat your company
like family and your family like company." With that in mind,
y'all come on in and visit a spell. Take a few moments to meet my

Most of us think of those less fortunate than ourselves during the Holiday Season, but we must remember that hunger, illness, and poverty are a year-round problem.
Let us give thanks every day of the year and continue to think of the people who depend on us for the only support they know. Let us realize that, as someone so eloquently put it, "There, but for the grace of God, go I."
May you have Peace, Love, and Happiness this Holiday Season and may you find a way to share it with others by keeping the spirit of the Season alive throughout the year.
Because I am normally at work at this time of day, I don't always get to watch much TV. But today, being a national holiday, I happened to watch one of my favorite shows… the Oprah Winfrey Show. I must say, it has been a long time since my heart was touched and I felt so inspired. With the help of Oprah, and The Angel Network, more than three and a half million dollars has been raised to send 50 of our nations best young people, one from each of our great United States, toward their dream of a college education.
In the form of scholarship money, these outstanding high school students, chosen by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, will be going to college in the fall. And, with the same spirit, the program has pledged to send 50 more students for the next two years, for a total of 150 students in all by the year 2000, to college.
But the story does not stop there. Along with the scholarship efforts, Oprah's Angel Network and Habitat For Humanity has pledged to build 205 homes for needy families throughout the country.
From these programs have come many more stories of everyday people giving in extraordinary ways. From a man who dedicated his web site to collecting shoes for the needy… to a boy who wanted to donate $300 of the money the family was saving so that he could go to Disney World… to a family who is in the process of buying a home for the family of their son's best friend in school, the stories go on and on.
It makes me realize that there are many good things happening in this country. It is not all about the greed, drugs, and violence that we read in the papers and see on TV. There are many stories of love and compassion that don't make the headlines, and there are many heroes who don't receive plaques, metals, or public honors. Whether it is a person of wealth and fame like Oprah or the people next door, these are the people who make this country great. These are the people who make me proud to be an American. Thank you all. America loves you and I do too.
Here are a few links I have found. If you have any others you would like to see included, I would be happy to hear about them.

This little heart means that the people who believe in love have a heart of gold and are to be commended for having the capacity to love and give, not to be ridiculed for having faith in humanity! The word needs to be spread throughout our electronic world.

I would like to introduce you to a good friend of mine. He is a wonderful artist and does a lot of the artwork for Great Impressions in San Francisco. I have a few examples of his work with rock stars and hope to have more of his other work in the future.
Here are two awards I am very proud of!
Another hobbie I have aquired in the past few years is writng short stories. I have included one here called The Big Fish. I have had no training in this field and it has been almost 40 years since I finished high school, so don't expect too much. However I would appreceate your feedback if you have time to read the story.
