"My Wonderland"

The Cheshire Cat would understand
All the treasures held in Wonderland
Where all are mad and none are sane
And being otherwise is terribly plain

The Hatter himself is a friend of mine
The White Rabbit's always minding the time
The March Hare has served me tea
And the Dodo always has time for me

I know the Duchess and Queen of Hearts
(I've sneezed on the pepper of the former's art)
The Cheshire Cat's played tricks with my eyes
And is forever catching me by surprise

I love the Caterpillar, Pig and Dormouse
I love the Rabbit with his quaint little house
Bill may be stupid, but he's ever so sweet
And the Gryphon's schoolmasters I'm longing to meet

My head has been threatened by its removal
I've received my own thimble as a sign of approval
I've danced with lobsters, I've been to trial
I've seen the Cat who constantly smiles

Growing and shrinking with drink and cakes
And remaining polite for whatever it takes
As much as I miss Dinah, I'll see her again
In the meantime I'll stay here as long as I can

I know this world, I am always in it
Wherefor, then, did I begin it?
Following the Rabbit with a pocket watch
Who raised my reality just one notch

Living a dream on a drowsy day
Looking for an excuse to slip away
Leaving the bank where the daisies grow
And escaping to Wonderland down below

And so if you find that I am not here
Know that I am in a place I hold dear
I love this world that I have found
I am Alice, my adventures underground

Meet my adopted white rabbit hat!!
