             Note from the 'Editor':

June 19-21, a group of us went on a LifeTrails hiking trip.  As a group we discussed our goals and what we are committed to doing individually to help this congregation grow. We came up with a mission statement of what we feel we are all about. 
            "Leading the Lost by Living the Life".

    One goal we discussed is that we need to grow together as a group.  To help develop relationships and to help edify and encourage one another we chose to begin a Bible study once a week in the White House (every Monday morning @ 10:00 ) that would give us a chance to confess our problems to one another, study with each other, and learn from one another.  This Bible study is open to Youth members only so that we can all be able to feel more open with one another.

    On this trip we also talked about having a weekly or bi-weekly Bible study that is open and designed for you to bring friends.  This would give us all a chance to reach out and bring our friends into a friendly atmosphere, so that they won't feel threatened but they can still learn and still be taught.

    Also, each one of committed to one thing that we would do individually to help the congregation grow and be strong.  For example, some have already committed to: contacting sick and absent members, being friendly with the younger children and working with them, and getting to know each youth member personally.  We are asking each one of you that didn't go on the trip to decide on your own, one thing, one specific thing that you will commit to doing to help this congregation.
