6 medium potates (cooked and cubed)
1 cup sliced onion
1/3 cup flour
1/4 cup margerine
4 tablespoons barbecue sauce (divided)
1 tablespoon onion flakes
2 tablespoons beef broth or bouillion cubes
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 cups milk
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
6 slices process cheese
Spread potatoes in buttered 8 x 12 pan. layer onions on top. In a 2 quart saucepan melt butter stir in flour. Cook. Stir constantly for 2 minutes, add milk, 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce, flakes, soup mix, pepper and paprika. Cook. Stir occasionally until thick. Pour over potatoes. Mix beef with remaining barbecue sauce. Make into 6 patties. Arrange on top. Bake 375 for 30 minutes. Place cheese slices on top. Return to oven for 15 minutes more.
