Just one entry for the month of February -- sorry!!

    I had a pretty good week this last week, I lost 2 pounds! That makes up for the pound I gained last week,  plus another. It has really motivated me to be on track this week too!  I know that I will do really well this coming week!!
     I am still keeping my little star chart - I put a little star sticker on it for planning my days food, exercising, drinking all my water, and staying in my points. I put a big star for the day if I got all 4 of the smaller stars --   very visual - a quick reference to how well I am doing (or not)!!
     This week I invite you all to have a farewell to can't party. Negative self talk has a monumental effect on us -- when we tell ourselves there is something we can't do, we are right, we can't! It is a self fullfilling prophesy, because we believe those things to be true, we make them true, whether we are conscious of it or not.  Take a few minutes to write down all those can't statements that find their way into your thoughts and words.  "I can't lose weight", "I can't exercise", "I can't resist sweets".  On a second piece of paper write down new "I can" statements to replace those nasty can'ts -- "I can lose weight" "I can exercise" "I can resist the sweets".  Put your I can list somewhere you will see it, on the fridge, in your wallet, etc. Now take the I can't list and say good bye! Shred it, burn it, whatever -- get rid of I can't!!!   And believe that you can!!
