You are a miracle. You are abosolutly doing wonderfully. Your goals are going to be met and your gonna feel so good inside (not that you don't already). I am so inspired by you. I have a goal of about 140 and I am 163 right now. I have never been any heavier than 190 (when I delivered my now 15 month old) and I was always a skinny kid but now I have to buckle down and its hard ot do. People like you who have kicked the I'm gonna do it tomorrow and do it and succeed rally make me think I can do it als . Dear Chel, I too am on WW and I think it's great! I actually started in October of 1999, but have had some ups and downs and have only lost a total of 12 pounds. I weighed in the first time at 164 and would like very much to be at least 130, preferrably 125. At f rst I was not attending meetings regularly because of the meeting time, but I found a new center and a great leader and this week I made a contract with myself to lose 6 pounds by the end of April and to reach my 10%. In the meantime, thank you for posti g your journal for the world to see! That takes a lot of courage! I'm going to make myself a "star chart" because my anniversary is June 1 and We're actually taking a mini vacation without the kids (4, ages 7 to 1)! Hi Chele: You are really an inspiration to all of us ladies out there fighting the battle of the bulge. I haven't tried the 123 Plan I am kinda making it up as I go but so far so good this time. I have lost about 15 of the lbs. I gained back after losing the 35 lbs last year over a 7-8 month stretch. The first time I took the diet pill Ionamin{Phentermine} one half of the combination Phen-Fen but this time I only took one month's prescription of the pills to get me started losing again and give me my motivation and I have the two other prescriptions for the second and third months but I am not gonna take them if at all possible. I just like having them for reassurance if I overdo something at Christmas. I did fine at Thanksgiving so I think I can make it through Chr stmas. There are more sweets at Christmas but I have just about conquered my sweet tooth and so I am off toward Christmas and the New Millenium with renewed hope and vigor and determination to lose to my goal weight of 125-130 and stay there. My Dr. who g ve me the pills said he would be happy if I maintained the 150 that I lost to last year but that is not enough for me in case I have a piece of cake or pie or candy or something. I want to have a little leeway in case I fall from time to time. Thanks again for all the great info. your site gives and most of all for being an inspiration to us all. Fantastic weight loss story! I've been working hard at losing weight (AGAIN) for the last year but it's been quite slow as I've hit many plateaus. 33lbs down and 22 to go but I stick closely to the program and feel like I'm losing ground with the long lateaus. I used to be a lifetime member with WW about four years ago----well before the birth of my little girl, who is now 1. I lost @ 95 pounds wi h WW in 1994-95, but put it all back on and then some in 1997-98 after meeting my husband and going through a rough pregnancy. Now, I am trying to re-implement again what I learned from WW and this time I am also trying to add more exercise into my progr m. I loved going to WW before---good support and education isn't it?! Your story should be an inspiration to any to have nagging doubts about their own abilities to acheive their personal goals. I too have lived with someone who agonized over their wieght for years and did nothing about it. She would complain about her la k of "will power" and inability to lose wieght. Comments from friends and co-workers to her cut straight to her heart, but she still couldn't seem to bring herself to see she could lose the wieght. Recently she has learned things about herself and her own abilities, and she has lost about 50 lbs. I have kept silent thoughout this knowing how much her wieght bothers her and knowing it had to be something she wanted and did; otherwise, she would nev r do it. One cannot change someone else, only themself. I am so proud of her accomplishment and look forward to her continued work towards her goal.

Congratulations on the weight loss thus far. I too have been following the Weight Wacthers 123 Success Program and I LOVE it! It has definitely been heaven sent for me. However, I haven't lost as much as you but I'm still hanging in there. I initially weighed 236 lbs. when I joined last July. After falling off the wagon for a while I've recouped to get down to 210 (present weight). I know I should have better results after a whole year but I fell back into the old routine of eating and not exercising (which is fairly easy to do). Now, I seem to be back on track and hopefully I can lose at least another 50 lbs. My ideal weight is 155-160 (I don't want to be any smaller than that). Keep up the good work. stay with it. I have also been on WW123 and did well, even on the home program. Somewhere along the line, I faltered and have gained back 8 of my 30 pounds. Each day I say, "I'm going to do it today". You are much younger than I. Do it while you are oung. It's not easier but it comes off better.

Found your page while looking for motivation to get back on track with my weight loss on the WW 123 plan. It was a breath of fresh air and encouragement for me. Thank you for sharing your story and journey to a "new and improved you". You are doing so ell.....congratulations on your success so far. A month ago I had lost 18# but somehow got off track and am presently back into my old eating habits and have regained 7#. I'm am trying to stay positive in looking at the 11# loss as a success regardless f the current gain. I am finding it very difficult to stop the upward spiral. I know what I must do and vow to do it every morning but never seem to finish the first day without faultering. Maybe others out there are willing to share their stories how hey turned it around and got back to loosing again before all the good work was undone. Thanks for letting me unload my burden, I do feel better now that I can see it in print and realize this isn't an uncermountable problem. :)

I am borderline diabetic & was told by the Dr. that if I could lose some weight the diabetes would resolve itself. Lost 30# and quit! Really enjoyed your site. I'm a physician and a mental midget when it comes to computers. I appreciate you sharing a very personal struggle. I too have tried every diet known to man and am looking to finally do it the right way. I need all the motivat on I can get...I have about 70 pounds to lose and my problem is portion control. I have tried ww in the past but haven't been motivated to keep going. I have joined ediet which allows me to use convenience foods and log in at my convenience...my schedule is a pain. I also have a weekly weigh in. Unfortunately I have not had the positive experiences with ww leaders so I look to peole like you for motivation. Would love to hear back from you. Also am struggling with the "healthy" 1-2lb a week loss. I'm used to the stupid unhealthy diets that drop 5-7lbs a week only to gain back 10-14...med school was never this hard! HELLO, I have been having trouble signing guestbooks on my computer. I don't know I am still pretty new to this whole computer thing. I am also on the 123 success plan. So far I have lost 11 pounds. I am pretty excited about that since this is actually the first time that I have attempted to lose weight and have lasted this long. ( I started March 19th, 1999) I have to weigh in tomarrow morning. I usually attend the meeting after my aerobics class. I think that I have gained or sustained for this last week. I am a little nervous about it, Ya know?
