And so to honor this president, We put his head on a penny. Then let the children have a penny to put underneath the paper and make pencil rubbings of it. Also, remember to have a magnifying glass so they can turn the penny over and find Lincoln sitting in the Lincoln Memorial! Penny Mobile Cut circles out of brown paper bags to represent penny's. Then have each child write something about president Lincoln on a penny. Hang from the ceiling individually or make a mobile out of them!
