Description: Leaves oval, glossy green with serrated
     margins, plants are sturdy.

Flower Description:  Dense racemes of scarlet 
     flowers are borne in summer and early autumn.

     Color:  Scarlet Red

Germination Requirements:  Sow seeds 6-8 weeks
     before estimated last frost maintaining 70° during
     germination in medium which takes 12-15 days to
     germinate.
 

Seed to Bloom:  85-100 days

Hardiness: Tender

Exposure: Full Sun to Partial Shade

Soil Requirements:  Enriched/adequate moisture

Mature Height:  6-24 inches

Spacing: 12- 24  inches apart

Planting Season:  February - June

Flowering Season:  April - September

Landscape Uses:  Border, bedding, cut-flowers, 
     edging

Special Notes:
     General Care:  Can be cut back to promote more
      flowering.
