I babysat for various people for various reasons.

As I was desperately looking for a job for the Summer of 95 before going to Uni, I searched all the village shop windows. I found a home help / babysitting job advertised in the village of Worlington, and that was about it. I decided to pick up the phone and see what became of it.

The person who answered was an American Lady called Adele, who has Muscular Dystrophy. She invited me to visit her and her children, Daniel and Kira (then aged 5 and 2) one day after school, which I did. She then invited me to take the job, which I did, as the children and herself were very pleasant. I continued to help Adele whenever I could during the holidays.

In my church was an American Lady called Lemira. She had three delightful children (Jonny, Emi, and Heather), a doting husband (Mo), and then in addition, a job. As I was training to be a teacher at the time, she thought I'd be just the person to babysit the children when either she and Mo went out for the day / evening, or if both she and Mo were both at work. Although she didn't need me many times, I helped her out if I could, because the kids were good, and it was also a way to watch whatever Disney film I hadn't yet seen but would have liked to! :))

The last time I babysat for her, she said she'd have let me go on IRC if her modem was working properly. I was quite content with Disney! :)

Jane was another lady from my church. She had four children (Donald, James, Patrick, and Kelly). Patrick and Kelly were the two who were known to behave really well, whereas Donald and James could be a bit of a handful at times!! I only babysat once for Jane, and everyone seemed quite surprised that I survived. They were good kids really, but I never DID find where the phone was!!!!! :o/
