Community Overview
Long Grove is a village of about 4,800 34 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. The town's commercial district features an antique district with specialty and clothing stores, and restaurants. Recreational opportunities include the park district programs of neighboring Buffalo Grove. Housing styles vary, with houses starting at $350,000. Grade schoolchildren attend districts 79, and 96. High School Aged students go to Adlai Stevenson High, District 125. (See below for details on schools).
Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-294/Tri-State Tollway, I-53, I-90/Northwest Tollway), I-294/Edens Expwy), and major local roads (U.S. 12/Old McHenry Rd, I-83/Elmhurst Rd.).
