Anyway, I gave up  my tole and oil painting

(even though I still have some of the photos of them up)
 

I HAVE ALWAYS SAID THAT IF THERE WAS A FIRE IN MY HOUSE THE FIRST & ONLY THING I WOULD RUN TO GRAB (UNLESS OF COURSE SOMEONE WAS IN THE HOUSE BESIDES ME) WOULD BE MY PHOTOS.  I'VE ALWAYS TAKEN A LOT OF PHOTOS AND ENJOYED LOOKING BACK AT THEM.  MY DAUGHTER STARTED SELLING CREATIVE MEMORIES IN 1997 AND I THEN LEARNED THAT MY CHERISHED PHOTOS WOULD NEVER LAST FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN TO ENJOY LATER IN LIFE IF I DIDN'T REMOVE THEM FROM THEIR ALBUMS AND GET THEM INTO "SAFE" ONES.

There was a time when placing your precious photographs, newspaper clippings and other memorabilia into plain old photo albums was the most common way to keep those golden memories. 

Today's scrapbooking techniques combine photo safe papers, inks and stickers, with creatively decorated layouts and moment related journalizing to give a whole new meaning to scrapbooking. 

Aside from just preserving our photographs, creative scrapbooking gives the opportunity to develop traditions that keep family histories alive for generations to come.  

So if you are one who has piles of photographs sitting in envelopes, gathering dust in old shoe boxes or slowly deteriorating away in old-style photo albums, join the ever-growing family of scrappers fun and creative way to preserve those golden memories.
But......be forewarned.....it's additive!
