How to Make Beanie Babies
((with your grandchildren`s faces on them))

First get a pattern that will work with the faces .
I use a basic teddy bear pattern, one that can be changed to whatever you would like it to be.
You can change the ears to make a kitty or a puppy, or a bear.
I can even make mine a little baby.
I scan the faces in to my computer and edit them in my photo program.
I print them out often to make sure that I have the part of the face I want
Then when I get them as good as I can I print them out on t-shirt transfer paper.
This takes a little practice so don`t get discouraged.
I place as many as I can on a sheet of paper before I cut out any.
It`s a good idea to make more than one of each face so if you make a mistake you will have more to work with.
You can iron these directly on your bear pattern if you are using a light color.
If I`am using a dark color or a print I first put the face on a good white peice of cloth.
It needs to be a little on the heavy side so the color won`t show from underneath
Then I cut that out and glue it on the bear with a good fabric glue.
I do this before I sew them up.
You can glue the faces on after you sew them up if you like.
I stuff mine with the beans you get in the craft store.
I also use some fiberfill in the heads and some in the body wherever I think it needs it.
