Mower is the permanant resident and the other three are kittens rescued from outside and they are awaiting homes. Since the page was last updated we have decided to keep Lily. She still has some work to do, but she is far from the scared kitty she used to be. We can live with her safely now...she doesn't bring the claws out, no hiss-spits, no growls just lots of purring, she loves affection but not being held. Lily did actually allow me to clip her nails which was major progress for us and I am grateful as she finds it entertaining to attack my feet when I try to get into bed. Mower says he doesn't want to go back to a one kitty household anyway..
Like and Hobbes are living happily with their new family. There is an 8 year old girl in the house and she has been incredibly patient with the boys. YES!!! They went to the same home. I visited them not all that long ago and they looked at me like "Who are you and why are you here?". I figue that means they are HOME!! I did happen to have Lily with me as I had a veterinary appointment for her just before we planned to go over and the sweet little girl wanted to see her so I happily took Lily in and Like ignored her totally but Hobbes at least came over to say Hello and give her a couple sniffs. I think if I wasn't holding on to her he would have really greeted her, but if I had let her go she would end up living there too as we would never find her again. Lily is an excellent hider. I am so very pleased with this home for the boys, they even have a young St. Bernard to watch for entertainment.
First I am Mower, as in THE MOWER, while my family and I were trying on names for me, my Meowmie kept telling everyone that I was such a little mower 'cause I mowed lots and when I started to come when she said it, the name stuck.
This is when I was just a little bitty baby
This is Like because he likes my Meowmie, but he needs a better name. When he sees her he runs real fast to her and purrs and mows and purrs. Like always wants to be held and petted. He loves to snuggle and is very friendly. Mostly he is a happy kitty and he doesn't bite or scratch or anything, just purrs and stuff. I think it is fun to groom him, he is the only one that I groom. You can see how friendly he is with Josey, he likes to rub on Josey. He has also taken a liking to Meowmie's 1 year old daugher.
This is Lily. She didn't used to like Meowmie very much and had lots of hiss/spits for Meowmie, but she is doing much better now. She now lets Meowmie hold her and pet her and she purrs lots now. She is a very pretty girl, she likes to play with everybody...doesn't matter who it is Like, Hobbes, Mower or Josey. Meowmie had a hard time trying to take a nice picture of her.
And last but not least is "Hobbes". He doesn't have any hiss/spits or anything, he is just very shy and needs a little time to get used to new things. He doesn't run away from her, and he is starting to like snuggling. He likes to be scratched mostly on his back and neck. Hobbes is the biggest and we think he has the prettiest face.
