John SENTER was one of the proprietors of Londonderry, N.H. in 1719 and was the ancestor of the SENTERS. He is said to be of English descent or birth . The date and place of his birth are unknown at this time. He married Jean FOSTER of Chelmsford, Mass 8 Apr 1717 at Chelmsford. Jean was born 8 Oct 1696, daughter of Samuel FOSTER JR and Sarah KEYES of Chelmsford, Mass. John died about 28 Apr 1742. Jean died 10 Jul 1765. Both believed to be buried in the Senter Cemetery at Hudson, NH. Jean's headstone is still standing.

Samuel SENTER was the second son of John and Jean (FOSTER) SENTER. He was the second male child born in Londonberry, NH, 31 Jan 1721. He married Susan TAYLOR of Dunstable, NH. She was born at Londonderry NH and remembered distinctly when people gathered into the block house at night for safety from the Indians. Samuel was in Capt. Samuel Barr's Co. in 1746. He was a selectman of Londonderry, NH for the years 1772, 1773 and 1774. Susan died about 1796 and Samuel died about 1797. Both are buried at Hudson, NH in the old Senter Cemetery. Susan TAYLOR was a sister of Joseph TAYLOR who was born at Londonderry and was taken prisoner in the French and Indian War, afterward settled in Windham, NH. He died unmarried.
