BOGGS, BARNES, Emily O'Neal from Rome wrote: Dear Jean, I really love the Bartow county page. I found a Talbert listed in the Will's section. His daughter. That is mentioned, Leanner Boggs, is the wife of James Boggs my gggrandfather's brother. I went to the Courthouse and copied the Will. Such an unexpected find! The Barnes line of Mary Adeline Barnes is on her husband Andrew Jackson barnes. They lived in Bartow county in the CW era. Their children were Daniel M, James E., John A., Wm J., Henry L., Nathaniel J., Azzie Lee, Polly, and Lytra. I found a record that Madeline applied for A. J.'s pension, but have not found anymore including the date of A.J.'s birth or death. I do know he is buried at Mizpah Meth. Hwy 293, Floyd Co., along with some of their children. I have not found where Mary Adeline is buried yet. Andrew Jackson Barnes was the brother of Wm. Henry Barnes, a CW vet who also is buried at Mizpah, and who married the daughter. Of James Boggs. Hence my interest in the Barnes Line. Several of us researching this family are trying to determine who Andrew Jackson and William Henry Barnes' father was, but to no avail so far. Re: Boggs of Dallas, I don't know any Boggs of this current era, so don't know if they connect without knowing their name. Thanks so much for your help.
