YORKTON AND DISTRICT NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
"Neighbours Helping Neighbours"

The Yorkton Neighbourhood Watch Program began in 1992, it's run under the supervision of the Yorkton City RCMP.  The program is quite unique from other ones.  The idea behind Neighbourhood Watch is Neighbours Helping Neighbours.  This is achieved through having Block Captains, who organize meetings to let their members know of criminal activity in the area.  Our Program uses a computer software program, that allows the RCMP to record a message and send it to the over 1300 members of Yorkton Neighbourhood Watch.

In this way we can send a weekly Crime Prevention Tip or a message that is geared to a specific part of the city, or for the entire City.  This software also allows Neighbourhood Watch members to call in and hear the weekly message, or to leave a message.
