SECOND GENERATION

2. John MACCUBIN was born in 1631 in Ayrshire Scotland. He served in the military in 1662 in Capt Thomas Besson's Co, Militia. He died on 3 May 1686 in Anne Arundel, MD. He was a Planter.
John came from the Lowlands of Scotland ca. 1659 and settled in Maryland.

He was married to Eleanor CARROLL in 1672 in Anne Arundel Co, MD. Eleanor CARROLL was born about 1640. She died on 10 Jul 1711 in Anne Arundel, MD. !This information came from the book, "Our Kin of Bedford County, VA." John MACCUBIN and Eleanor CARROLL had the following children:

+3 i. Sarah MACCUBBIN.
+4 ii. William MACCUBIN.
+5 iii. Zachariah MACCUBIN.
6 iv. Moses MACCUBIN was born in 1681. He died in 1733.

He was also married to Susan Elizabeth HOWARD (daughter of Samuel HOWARD) in 1665. Susan Elizabeth HOWARD was born in 1649 in Virginia. She died in 1670 in Anne Arundel Co, MD. John MACCUBIN and Susan Elizabeth HOWARD had the following children:

+7 i. John MACUBIN.
+8 ii. Samuel MACCUBIN.
9 iii. Elizabeth MACCUBIN was born in 1670.
