My major hobby, other than grandchildren, is genealogy. I have been doing research for about 20 years and throughly love it. I always recommend that a person join a local society. Below is a listing of societies in Contra Costa County, CA with their meeting times and places:

Bill is very active with the Walnut Creek Model RR Society. He is also beginning to volunteer with the Yolo Shortline in Woodland which runs equipment that belongs to the Sacramento Valley Historical Railways Society.
