NOTE: Jacob Albert was honored twice by the citizens of Baltimore, for his kind heart and generosity. He was tendered the gift of a large silver pitcher in the shape of a helmet, for his contributions and personal services in the smallpox scourge that nearly wiped out the town; and after the battle of North Point, the citizens gave him a handsome silver and gold sword as reward for his patriotic and generous contributions towards the fortifying and saving of Baltimore.
