    Jun 1794; lived on the east side of Geneto Creek on 236 acres, Goochland co., VA; refused 
    to take oath of Allegiance 1777; Quaker, married "at Friend's Meeting" in Henrico co., VA; 
    the order of birth of children is unknown. Priscilla: in 1770, of St James Northern Parish;

    * Presquile National Wildlife Refuge — This 1,329-acre natural area in southern Chesterfield is a James River oxbow that became 
    an island (Turkey Island) in 1934 when a navigational channel was cut across its narrow 
    neck. The refuge was established in 1952. Waterfowl and other wildlife are abundant. 
    Limited deer hunting is allowed through a drawing. Access is available by ferry off

    He took oath of allegiance to the Federal Govt. 17 May 1864 [Va. Gen. Vol 17 p. 253 ]Mayo family originated from Wiltshire, England; 
    Watkins family sold the land to Dr. A. D. Williams who donated the island to the U.S. 
    as a refuge in 1951. Mr. Wm Randolph immigrated to Presque'Isle in 1660, living here many 
    years and called it "Curles Neck" (Turkey Creek Island) 

    Harriet: Colonial Families of the U.S., p. 506; she resided before marriage at Fine Creek, 
    Cumberland, VA; Presque'Isle is now a game refuge on the James River. Her tombstone in 1993 
    reads "Harriet wife of E.O. Watkins and daughter of John & Mary Trevilian of Goochland died 
    at her residence in Presque Isle, Chesterfield Co. Nov. 15, 1858 aged 57 years and 9 months"

    Mary died 16 Jul 1855, "Pettygrove", Forest, Bedford Co., Va, Tombstone reads: "Mary Louisa,  wife of P.A. Clay, on July 16, 1855,
    age 34, A dutiful daughter, A dedicated  wife, An affectionate mother A kind neighbor." 
    Buried at Pettygrove (now Ivy Hill Golf Course 1996), near Forest, Bedford, VA. 
    Paulus was a minister of Manchester Parish, Chesterfield co., VA; sold Ivy Hall ca 1857 
    & moved to Fredericksburg, then ca 1860/61 he moved to Richmond. Death date may be incorrect.

64. Charles Edward Clay (57. Mary 8, 54. Edward 7, 47. Robert 6, 34. Benjamin 5, 13. Benjamin 4,
    3. Henry 3, 2.HENRY2, 1.Henry1)  born 18 Nov 1838, Bermuda, Bedford, Va, served on Wyo 1st 
    Legislature, married (1) Lulu Fingernail Woman, born Abt 1855, an Ogallala Sioux Indian, 
    c 1867, in by Indian custom in Wyoming and they were divorced by Indian custom in Wyoming. 
    Lulu Fingernail Woman chose to leave her children with their white father and went to live 
    with her people. She died 14 Jul 1902, about age 58 years on the Pine Ridge Indian 
    Reservation, S. Dakota. Lulu Fingernail Woman later had several other Indian husbands and 
    had several children, none of whom survived over the age of 21. None had issue and her son, 
    Herman Catches the Enemy died age 21. Her last husband was Roan Bear, a Lower Brule Indian. 
    Lulu was buried in the Indian Cemetery in Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, S. D. She was 
    orphaned at very young age; said to have had a sister.

    Charles died 18 Aug 1905, Elma, Washington, buried: Elma Masonic cm, Elma, Washington, blk 
    63 lot 5. Served in the VA Confederate Southern Army. Kicked while arresting a drunk, died 
    of peritonitis.

         279 Denver, CO. she was blinded in one eye at the age of 12 when a boy threw a snowball 
         with a rock in it and blinded in the other eye in 1944 while picking up a object next
         to the street and a car door was opened, its corner hitting her good eye. 
         [Death cert. # 2535 & 07057 filed 24 May 1973; Social Security # 524-60-5977] died of 
         Cancer of the bile duct. Clarence: Death cert #4532 R.#2065 Dist. 54; SS# 712-03-0630
         or 0930; Rocky Mtn. News p. 64 and Denver Post p. 28 - 26 May 1954; Marriage licence
         #8075, Golden, CO; died of emphysema and pulmonary embolism (suffered from asthma); 
         served as an S2 in the Navy during WW I. They had 10 children.

         issue; Md. Hazel --. legs were frostbitten and removed for some time before his death,
         he was going across the street on his flat wheeled platform when he was struck and 
         killed  by a car.  Buried Block 32 lot 1 section 94, no marker.

          (2) --- Robbins, married (3) --- Hatfield. Myrtle died 28 Jul 1983, Denver, Colo, 
          buried: Olinger Evergreen Memorial Gardens, had 3 children, 2 of whom were taken from
