Thomas and Caroline Foster Baker arrived from Sussex, England with their children about 1836. They lived at "The Oaks" in Camden, then moved to "Lorn End" on the Murrumbidgee near the site of Wagga Wagga in 1848, later moved to Kyeamba Ck.

George Gray was born about 1828 in Bristol, England. George arrived in NSW about 1852, and married Elizabeth Baker in Wagga Wagga on 24 Oct 1853. George was the first Licencee of The Red Lion Hotel, Edward Street. Elizabeth held the licence from George's death in 1884.
