McCarthy

According to family lore - John McCarthy married Annie Bacon in Ireland then migrated to WA. Annie McCarthy first white child born on the Ashburton. As the McCarthy's settled in the North West of Western Australia, and this area has been subject to many cyclones, very few records survived to verify the above information. No birth certificate can be found for Annie Rouse, nor has any death record been found for her mother. It can, however be verified that when Annie McCarthy was about 6 yrs old John married Ann Hurley.
