This is Elsie. Actually her real name is LC, which stood for Lap Cat. She was a stray kitten of about 6 weeks old when my husband found her wandering around the neighborhood. I was sick and stayed home from work that day, and my husband brought her in under his shirt, because it was raining, and put her on my chest, which I was stretched out on the couch and she stayed there all day. That is the last time she has ever been in my lap. She is a "Scaredy Cat". Won't let us pick her up. She squirms and there is no way we can hold her. Whenever we have company, she stays hid the entire time. When we took her to the Vet, they thought we said "Elsie" instead of LC, so Elsie has been her name ever since. She is now 17 years old, and getting very feeble. She does want her loving and petting, but she gets it by getting up besides us on the couch and not on our lap.

These are my daughter's cats. Garfield and Simon. Simon is a Maine Coon. She got them from the Humane Society and she was only going to adopt one, but at the shelter, they wanted someone to adopt both, since they grew up together. So being a soft hearted person my daughter is, she adopted both cats. They both are in cat heaven now.
