B. T. Armstrong, Former Taberg Farmer, Died

Bartlett, Jan. 14. -- Burton T. Armstrong, 82, passed away this morning at the home of his son Amos A. Armstrong on the Rome Bartlett road after an illness of two weeks. Heart trouble was the cause of death.

Mr. Armstrong was born in Taberg, March 25, 1850, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cuyler Armstrong. On September 11, 1872, he was united in marriage with Mary J. Perkins at Knoxboro, by Rev. W. T. Knox. He retired from active farming at Taberg about 15 years ago. He attended the Methodist Church and in politics was a Democrat.

Surviving beside his son Amos at whose home he died, are two other sons, Herman H. of Rome and Stuart H. of Stanwix; one sister Mrs. William Hana, Taberg, one brother Seymour Armstrong, Taberg; also 16 grandchildren and ? grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the home of his son Amos A. Armstrong, Rome R. F.D. 2 on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Rome Cemetery.
