TABERG -- Mrs. Carleton Phelps, 67, of Meadows Road, died Sunday in Rome Hospital.
The former Violet M. Armstrong, she was born June 5, 1904 in Winchester, Ont., Can., the daughter of William and Elizabeth Baker Armstrong.
She was married on June 21, 1922 in Rome.
Mrs. Phelps attended Taberg schools and was a member of First Baptist Church, Rome.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Florence) Nurse of Parish and Mrs. James [Eleanor] Manton of Pulaski, two sons, William C. and Allen H., both of Taberg and 10 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Sanborn Funeral Home, Camden. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg, in the spring.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
